IndexNow

Retrieve the IndexNow verification key for your workspace.

CMS plugins (WordPress, Drupal) call this endpoint to sync the IndexNow key and serve the /{key}.txt verification file that search engines require.

Authentication: Requires API Key in the Authorization header. Format: Authorization: Api-Key YOUR_API_KEY

The workspace is identified automatically from the API key — no additional parameters are needed.

Response:

• indexnow_key: The verification key string, or empty string if IndexNow is disabled.

How it works:

1. Enable IndexNow in your Smalk Dashboard (Brand Safety settings)
2. Your CMS plugin calls this endpoint periodically (cached for 2 minutes)
3. The plugin serves /{key}.txt at your domain root
4. When ad content is updated, Smalk pings IndexNow to notify search engines
